We leave Sultanahmet and drive across the Bosphorus Bridge (15 July Martyrs Bridge) from Europe to Asia, with views of the strait below.
Built in the 1860s as a summer residence for the sultans, Beylerbeyi Palace sits right on the Bosphorus. Inside you see its original furniture, crystal chandeliers and carpets, then walk through the palace gardens.
